Nigerian music video director and cinematographer, ThankGod Omori Jesam, widely known as TG Omori or Boy Director, has revealed that his recent kidney transplant has unfortunately failed. This announcement comes a year after Omori’s kidneys initially failed, prompting his only brother to donate one of his kidneys in a bid to save his life.

Omori first shared the news of his brother’s donation on X (formerly Twitter), expressing hope for recovery: “Yesterday, my only brother gave me one of his kidneys so I could live again.”

Tragically, the transplant did not succeed. Omori updated his followers with a distressing message: “One year after my kidney crashed, I just had a failed transplant at St. Nicolas Lagos. Pray for me. Went into this theater 3 times, wasn’t just destined to die today.”

In a subsequent post on Instagram, Omori shared his fear and desperation, writing, “I don’t wanna die, keep my spirit alive.” He accompanied the message with an image of himself in a hospital bed, visibly distressed and receiving oxygen.

Omori, who has been largely out of the public eye recently, has been hinting at his health struggles through cryptic social media posts. Last month, he tweeted, “If I cross your mind, sometimes say a prayer for me,” and added, “Poor marijuana, they blame you for all my rasclaat. You wanna eat, I wanna live.”

The music industry and his fans are rallying around him, sending prayers and well-wishes in hopes of a recovery.
