Former Chairman of the Oyo State Park Management System, Mukaila Lamidi, known as Auxiliary, appeared in the State High Court in Ibadan on Monday facing serious charges, including armed robbery, murder, attempted murder, and illegal possession of firearms, notably an AK-47 assault rifle.
The court premises were heavily secured, with numerous police and Amotekun Corps officers deployed in uniform and plain clothes. Vehicular patrol vans were also stationed in various locations around the courthouse, reflecting the heightened tension surrounding the case.
The charges against Auxiliary are serious, falling under Section 1(2)(a) and (b) of the Robbery and Firearms (Special Provisions) Act, CAP RII, Vol. 14, Laws of Federation of Nigeria, 2004. He is currently being tried before Justice Olabisi Adetujoye in Court 5 of the state High Court. The case is officially registered as suit number I/74c/2024, with the state prosecuting against Mukaila Lamidi.
