Governor Dr. Agbu Kefas of Taraba State has launched an ambitious initiative to build and equip new primary and secondary schools across all 16 local government areas within the next six months. This project aims to revolutionize the educational infrastructure in the state by leveraging innovative building technology.
The initiative was officially inaugurated at Jauro-Yinu Primary School, where Dr. Kefas introduced a training program for 100 selected youths. This program, provided by the South African firm Hydraform, will equip the trainees with skills in using advanced building technology. The state has acquired Hydraform machines for producing high-quality, cost-effective bricks, which will be used in the construction of the new schools.
Dr. Kefas emphasized the significance of the project, stating, “These state-of-the-art machines will transform our building processes. We are committed to constructing modern, well-equipped schools across all 16 local government areas within the next six months. This effort is aimed at creating a conducive learning environment for our children and advancing educational opportunities in Taraba State.”

Dr. Augustina Godwin, the Commissioner for Education, lauded the governor’s initiative, noting the importance of scaling up manpower in building technology. She expressed confidence that the project would significantly improve the state’s educational infrastructure and provide a brighter future for its students.
