Rapper Lil Wayne revealed that not being selected to headline the 2025 Super Bowl halftime show deeply affected him. He said performing in his hometown of New Orleans would have been the highest honor of his career.
“It hurt a lot,” Wayne admitted, adding that he wasn’t mentally prepared for the letdown. “I thought there was nothing better than that stage in my city… It broke me, and I’m just trying to put myself back together,” he shared, expressing his ongoing efforts to move past the disappointment.
