The Defence Headquarters has issued a warning to citizens sharing images of Brigadier General MS Adamu in relation to the alleged mistreatment of Seaman Abbas Haruna. The warning was announced in a statement signed by Brigadier General Tukur Gusau, Director of Defence Information.

The statement, titled “Re: Brigadier General MS Adamu’s Pictures and Connection with Seaman Abbas Haruna Case,” clarifies that Brigadier General MS Adamu is not involved in the Haruna case. It urges the public to refrain from spreading false information and to respect the ongoing investigation led by a committee appointed by Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Gwabin Musa.

The statement reads: “Social media has been inundated with pictures of Brigadier General MS Adamu, which have been wrongly linked to the Seaman Abbas Haruna case. For clarity, Brigadier General MS Adamu is in no way connected to this case.”

The Defence Headquarters appeals for public restraint, warning that any individual or organization sharing such images could face legal action. The military reaffirms its commitment to the rule of law and assures the public that the case will be thoroughly investigated, with updates provided as necessary.
