Saturday, August 8, 2026, will remain memorable as Baba Memorial Schools held its annual graduation and prize-giving ceremony at the Federal College of Education (Technical), Bichi, Kano State, with invited guests, parents, guardians and education stakeholders in attendance.
The colourful event, held at the institution’s lecture hall, featured presentations and lectures highlighting the historical development and achievements of the school.
In her welcome address, the proprietor of Baba Memorial Schools, Hajiya Safiya Mahmoud Baba Bichi, disclosed that the school was established 26 years ago with only three pupils but has gradually grown to accommodate more than 1,000 students receiving quality education in a conducive learning environment.
Hajiya Safiya said the school had consistently maintained high standards to produce outstanding graduates equipped with the knowledge and skills required to contribute meaningfully to society.
She said, “We have successfully maintained our schools in order to ensure that we are moving towards the attainment of the best graduands with better educational backgrounds that would continue to be remembered in our societies.”
The proprietor further disclosed that the school has qualified teachers and dedicated non-teaching staff committed to providing a conducive environment for learning, teaching and the safety of students across the nursery, primary and secondary sections.
Hajiya Safiya commended parents and guardians for their commitment to the education of their children, describing their support as one of the factors behind the school’s achievements.
She also acknowledged the role of the Private Schools Management Board in guiding schools on the implementation of regulations governing private education across Kano State.
“I wish to commend the parents and guardians for being steadfast towards their children’s education, which is one of the reasons behind our success. The Private Schools Management Board has remained our guide in implementing all private school management regulations across Kano State, and we are always ready to remain dedicated to the Board for collective responsibility in education development,” she said.
The proprietor said the graduation of the students marked another milestone for the institution, assuring that the management would continue to provide a conducive teaching and learning environment to sustain academic excellence.
She added that the graduating students would have the opportunity to pursue further education in various institutions and contribute positively to their communities.
Special prizes were presented to outstanding students across different categories, as well as teachers and other dedicated members of staff who contributed to the growth and development of Baba Memorial Schools from the nursery, primary and secondary sections.
