The Nigerian government has officially released the results for the 2024 Professional Examination in General and Post Basic Nursing Programs, revealing a strong overall pass rate of 88%. The results were confirmed in a circular issued by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) on November 10, 2024.
A total of 18,139 candidates passed the exam, with varying pass rates across different nursing programs. The General Nursing Programme saw 12,534 successful candidates (88% pass rate), while the Post Basic Nursing Program recorded an impressive 96% pass rate, with 4,513 candidates passing.
Other programs such as the Foreign Trained Nursing (FTN) and Community Nursing also reported notable results, with pass rates of 43% and 74%, respectively.
Heads of nursing institutions are instructed to access their respective results online starting November 12, 2024.
