Popular Nigerian music producer Don Jazzy has been revealed as the anonymous donor behind a substantial ₦100 million contribution to activist VeryDarkMan’s (VDM) Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO). VDM, also known for his social advocacy, confirmed the donation through his verified Instagram account on October 17, expressing shock and deep gratitude for the generous act.

Earlier, VDM had raised concerns after receiving the unexpected donation, which brought the total balance in his NGO’s account to ₦170 million. He publicly appealed for help in identifying the donor, assuring Nigerians and Zenith Bank that he had no ties to any fraudulent activities and was unaware of who made the contribution.

After reaching out to various people with no success, VDM later revealed that Don Jazzy, whose real name is Michael Collins Ajereh, personally contacted him to confirm he was responsible for the donation. In a heartfelt message, Don Jazzy wrote:

“Morning bro. Just saw your post. Na me send 100m to support. I believe in what you are doing and trust you to be as transparent as you have always been. We really need that in our country. I wish you all the best with the project and more blessings to you. E no easy.”

VDM, still in disbelief, shared a video displaying the message and the receipt of the transaction, expressing immense gratitude for the music mogul’s support. He noted that he never anticipated such a large donation.

The activist explained that his NGO focuses on providing support to children in public primary schools who lack access to quality teachers. Don Jazzy’s contribution is expected to significantly boost the organisation’s efforts in improving education for underprivileged children in Nigeria.
