Ngoni Mujuru, a South African software developer, has made headlines after proposing to his girlfriend just 46 days into their relationship. Mujuru, who met his partner on June 1, shared the news of their whirlwind romance and engagement on his X (formerly Twitter) handle on Tuesday.
In his post, Mujuru expressed his joy, writing, “So, I got engaged to the girl of my dreams this past weekend! It has been a whirlwind romance in the best of ways; we started talking on the 1st of July…then 46 days later, we managed to pull off a surprise proposal for her at Pamushana Lodge. She said YES, and now I am literally the happiest man on this planet.”
Mujuru also revealed that his partner had already met his friends and family, all of whom were impressed and supportive of their relationship. However, Mujuru has another unique wish: to introduce his fiancée to former U.S. First Lady Michelle Obama. Although he acknowledged that the possibility is slim, he playfully asked his online network if anyone had a connection to Obama or her communication team.
Mujuru added, “It would just add icing to an already perfect cake that’s been around for the past two months of my life.”
The unexpected proposal and Mujuru’s ambitious request to meet Michelle Obama have captured the attention of social media users, who are curious to see if his dream introduction will come true.
