South African model Chidimma Adetshina has confirmed her participation in the Miss Universe Nigeria 2024 pageant. This follows her withdrawal from the South African beauty pageant due to xenophobic attacks from some South African fans.
Chidimma announced her acceptance of the invitation from Miss Universe Nigeria organizers in a video posted by Silverbird TV founder Ben Bruce on X. She expressed her gratitude to Nigerians for their support during the challenging time.
In her message, Chidimma said, “Hello everyone, my name is Chidimma Vanessa Onwe Adetshina. I am deeply thankful for the overwhelming love and support I have received. I am thrilled to accept the invitation from the Silverbird Group to participate in the Miss Universe Nigeria 2024 Beauty Pageant.”
She acknowledged the responsibilities and expectations associated with the title and shared her excitement about joining Africa’s prestigious beauty pageant.
